Hyoung Jun Lim PhD

Dr. Hyoung Jun Lim is an Assistant Professor in the School of Aerospace Engineering at Gyeongsang National University (GNU), South Korea, where he leads a research group within the Composite Structures Lab (CSL).

His research focuses on the computational mechanics of advanced materials and structures, particularly their deformation, damage, and failure. He develops multiscale and multiphysics models to understand how microstructure and interfaces govern mechanical response and reliability. He also uses AI-assisted methods to accelerate analysis and guide material and structural design. His work spans composites, polymers, and architected materials, with applications in aerospace structures and electrochemical energy systems, including solid-state batteries.
